Nous voici arrivé au jour de l’inauguration. Pour l’occasion, je suis réinvité à venir fouler le sol italien. Dans un sens, je suis amusé et commence à prendre goût par ces aller/retour, d’un autre ça demande un investissement de temps et d’énergie considérable.
Sur place, l’allée centrale est noire de monde, et les pièces avoisinantes aussi. Je découvre le fruit de mon travail imprimé, et c’est malheureusement une mauvaise surprise. Le papier est dégueulasse, la couverture a été changée et une page souffre d’apparitions de pixels. On me dit que l’imprimeur a eu de gros soucis à l’impression, et qu’ils réimprimeront le tout. Cependant, il m’est difficile de reconnaitre la pérennité de ce résultat tant l’objet est loin de nos idées originelles. Comme on dit souvent « c’est les aléas du métier ».
L’expo en soi est superbe, la scénographie est étonnante. Le livret que j’ai réalisé est disposé sur une rampe d’un mur et est distribué gratuitement aux visiteurs. Il se trouve dans une pièce sombre, mais est visible de loin car une partie de la couverture réagit au blacklight. Même si je suis déçu par certains points liés à l’aboutissement de mon travail, je ne regrette pas une seconde d’avoir participé à l’aventure. Si un jour l’occasion se représente, je pense être assez idiot pour retenter l’expérience.

Here we are arrived in the day of the inauguration. For the occasion, I am re guest to come to walk on the Italian ground. In a sense, I am amused and begin to get to like by these Journey for Brussels / Milan, of the other one that asks for an investment of time and energy.
On the spot, the central path is filled with people, and neighboring rooms also. I discover the fruit of my printed work, and it is regrettably an unpleasant surprise. The paper is bad quality, the cover was changed and a page suffers from appearances of pixels. I am told that the printer had big concerns in the printing, and that they will reprint the whole. However, it is difficult for me of approve the perpetuity of this result so much the object is far from our original ideas. As we often say «it is the chances of the business « .
The exhibition in itself is magnificent. The notebook which I realized is arranged on a banister of a wall and is distributed free of charge to the visitors. It is in a dark room, but is visible by far because a part of the cover reacts to the black light. Even if I am disappointed by certain points bound to the outcome of my work, I do not regret one second having participated it. If one day the opportunity represents itself, I think of being rather stupid to reattempt the experience.
