Je pense n’avoir jamais été si heureux d’avoir eu le ciel belge faire autant la grise mine. Pour ne pas trop vous bombarder d’informations à la fois, je vous donne rendez-vous les 5 prochains jours pour lire les épisodes des articles « Options Of Luxury : au cœur de Milan ».
Il y a plusieurs semaines, je suis contacté par les studios milanais « Bonsaï Ninja », afin de réaliser un livret d’illustration qui accompagnera la scénographie d’une exposition intitulée « Options of Luxury », dont le directeur d’exposition est Italo Rota, un architecte/designer Italien. Cette expo est montée à l’occasion des 25 ans d’anniversaires de l’organisme d’éditions de presse Italien « Class Editori ». On attend de moi de réaliser 16 doubles pages d’illus (32 pages au total) mettant en scène des objets de luxe et de design allant de Prada à Starck en passant entre autre par Salvatore Ferragamo. Le tout, dessiné à la manière des estampes japonaises. L’expo sera montrée pour la première fois au musée de la Triennale de Milan.
Dans le visuel ci-dessus, il était initialement prévu de faire une bande dessinée. Mais réflexions faites, des illustrations seraient finalement plus cohérentes à l’esprit des estampes.

Several weeks ago, I am contacted by the Milanese studios » Bonsaï Ninja « , to realize a book of illustration which will accompany the scenography of an entitled exhibition » Options of Luxury « , whose curator of exhibition is Italo Rota, an Italian architect / designer. This exhibition make for the 25 years of birthdays of the press Italian publishing » Class Editori « . We expect from me to realize 16 double pages of illustration (32 pages all in all) staging objects of luxury and design going from Prada to Starck in passing among others by Salvatore Ferragamo. The whole, drawn in the style of the Japanese prints. The exhibition will be shown for the first time to the museum of the Triennale of Milan.
In the picture above, it was initially planned to make a comic strip. But made reflections, illustrations would be finally more coherent in the spirit of prints.
